LinkedIn’s New Podcast Aimed at Gen Z
So, LinkedIn is diving into the podcast world, teaming up with iHeartRadio to bring us Let’s Talk Offline. This new show is all about helping Gen Z professionals figure out how to navigate the early stages of their careers without losing their values (or their minds). Hosted by Gianna Prudente and Jamé Jackson Gadsden, it’s designed to answer all those work-life questions you’re too afraid to ask your boss.
Why Podcasts? Why Now?
LinkedIn’s been expanding its podcast game since 2022, and this latest move makes total sense. I mean, podcasts are huge right now—there are 460 million regular listeners out there! And with this iHeartRadio partnership, Let’s Talk Offline gets access to a much wider audience (160 million downloads a month, to be exact). Pretty smart, right?
Speaking Gen Z’s Language
The thing I love about this podcast is that it’s tailored specifically for Gen Z. It gets that this generation is all about finding purpose at work and maintaining a healthy balance between work and life. No one wants to sacrifice their mental health for a paycheck, and this podcast speaks directly to that mindset.
What Does the Future Hold?
This is just the beginning for LinkedIn’s podcasting efforts, and honestly, I think we’ll see even more cool content in the future. LinkedIn is already supporting creators with their Podcast Academy, and if they keep building on this, we could be looking at some pretty innovative ways to learn about careers and personal development.
